What’s a USR?
Union Safety Representative (USRs)who helps identify and resolve health and safety issues.
Can I Join?
You have a legal right in the UK to join a union. It is illegal for an employer to discriminate against you because you are a union member.
When am I covered from?
Your cover starts from the date & time your membership begins. We can’t help you an on-going.
How much does it cost?
CWU membership costs range from £5.69 to £16.54 per month, depending on your membership type

How can I become a USR?

What’s a Branch Secretary?
Branch Secretary oversees the daily operations; representing interests of our branch collectively & individually.
What’s a Financial Secretary?
Financial Secretary reports all expenditure at Branch/Committee meetings. Annually representing audited balance sheets at AGMs.
What’s a Branch Chair?
Branch Chair is responsible for the conduct of ALL meetings of the Branch & Committee. Ensuring we are following National rules.
What’s a Youth Officer?
Youth Officer’s represent members in the Branch under the age of 30; helping to organise & recruit young workers.
